My birthday present
It was a morning of my birthday,
Everything looked so lovely.
And I was ready,
I was ready for my birthday.
See, Here came my parents,
Parents meant presents.
Holding something in their hands,
That must be marvelous present for me.
“Here’s your gift,
Hope you like it.
It doesn’t cost much,
On account of we made it all.”
I couldn’t wait to open it,
Not even a second.
“Oh, no, a birthday card
I don’t like it at all.”
I stamped my feet,
And threw the present away.
I disliked birthday cards,
Why not buy Barbie instead?
“Be a good girl,
I heard another voice from me.
You can’t do that to your parents,
’Cause it really hurts their feelings.”
With regret, with tears,
I came up to my parents,
“Can you forgive me,
Just as usual?”
Needless to say,
They hugged me so warmly.
“We wish you, honey,
With all the love, happy birthday.”
